    My account is temporarily restricted to only Moneybookers, why? How long will it be restricted?

    If you receive the message that your account has been restricted to Moneybooker only it is because you have activated one of our internal fraud checks. We limit the number of purchases and purchase attempts in a specific time period, if you exceed that limit your account is restricted to Moneybookers only because it is a secure payment method.

    The length of the restriction varies depending on a number of factors. Sometimes it is a day, or a week or potentially longer. We can't tell you exactly when it will be lifted because that gives fraudsters too much information and defeats the purpose of the restriction.

    We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but it's a necessary precaution in order to protect ourselves and our customers.

    Why is my Moneybookers order still pending?

    Moneybookers payments remain Pending in our system until we have received confirmation from them that the transaction amount has been properly processed. In cases of bank transfers this can take a number of days. With credit card purchases via Moneybookers you must ensure that you have submitted all the documentation that they request.

    As soon as Moneybookers sends out a confirmation that payment has been processed your Skype account will be credited.

    Last night, we put out the public beta of Skype Groups. The essence of it is that you can buy Skype services for other people and keep an eye on their usage — like refill their accounts if they run short of Skype Credit. It supports SkypeOut (Skype Credit), SkypeIn and Voicemail.

    How long can a message be?

    Messages can be up to 10 minutes long.

    I get a message that I'm “over the allowable limit” when trying to purchase credits, what does that mean?

    If you get a message in our store saying: “We're sorry, you are currently not allowed to purchase additional Skype Credits because your account balance is over the allowable limit.“, it is because as a new customer, someone who has only started purchasing in the past 3 months, you are restricted from purchasing again until your balance has gone below 5 €. This restriction is lifted as soon as your balance is below 5 € and you are only allowed to purchase 10€ at a time.

    These restrictions are lifted permanently once you have been a Skype Credits purchaser for 3 months or longer.
